About Sei Wallet Labs Inc

What we do

We build the Sei Wallet desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The wallet is:

• Non-custodial — your seed phrase stays on your device. We never see it. We can't recover it. We can't freeze your funds.
• Open source — source code is published on GitHub. Anyone can audit it, build it from source, or fork it.
• Signed at every release — see /security/audit.
• Audited — we engage independent third-party security firms. Current status: /security/audit.

What we do not offer

• Custody services — we don't hold your funds.
• Trading services — Sei Wallet links to dApps; we don't operate them.
• Investment advice — Sei Wallet is software.
• Token issuance — we have not issued any token. If you see a "$SEIWALLET" or similar token claiming to be ours, it is a scam.

Why we built this

Sei is in the middle of the SIP-3 transition to EVM-only (in progress, completion target mid-2026). The major Cosmos-aware Sei wallets — Compass, Leap, Keplr — were built when Sei was a Cosmos chain. Compass and Leap are sunsetting on May 28, 2026. Keplr remains active but is multi-chain Cosmos-first, not Sei-specific.

Sei users on EVM, in our view, deserve a wallet that is built specifically for Sei, EVM-first by default with proper sei1 legacy support, desktop-first for power users, open source so users don't have to trust the team, and independent of the chain core team so the wallet can advocate for users without conflict.

How we make money

Sei Wallet is free for users. Future revenue paths include optional in-wallet swap aggregator fees (transparent, ~0.1% built into swap rates), optional fiat-onramp partner fees (visible at swap time), and premium features for power users (planned, not currently shipped).

We will never sell user data — there's no data to sell, the wallet is non-custodial and doesn't track usage. We do not run a validator, and we do not insert ads or sponsored token recommendations into the wallet UI. Read more about our security commitments and our staking approach.
