Best Sei Wallet 2026 — Compared and Reviewed

This comparison ranks the seven Sei-supporting wallets that matter in 2026 by use case, not marketing volume. Sei Wallet Labs Inc makes Sei Wallet, so the bias is disclosed — and the page calls out exactly when an alternative is the better choice for the reader.

This page compares the seven Sei-supporting wallets that matter in 2026: Sei Wallet, Keplr, Rabby, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Nightly, and the Sei wallet pre-installed on Xiaomi phones. Compass and Leap are excluded because both shut down on May 28, 2026.

How we evaluated

Six factors, weighted by what real Sei users tell us matter:

  1. Sei-native UX — does staking, validator selection, address association, and dApp connection feel native, or "Sei is one of many chains we support"?
  2. EVM signing for Sei — does it sign for 0x addresses on Sei correctly, including Sei-specific gas behavior?
  3. Cosmos legacy support — for users still holding pre-SIP-3 SEI at sei1 addresses, does it support the address-association flow?
  4. Hardware wallet integration — Ledger, Trezor, Keystone.
  5. Self-custody depth — does the wallet ever route transactions through a relayer, and is the seed phrase truly local?
  6. Open source + audit — published code, public audit, signed builds.

The picks — by use case

We deliberately don't rank these 1–7. Each card below names a use case and points to a competitor when that competitor is the better fit.

What "best" doesn't mean

We deliberately avoided ranking these wallets 1–7. Reasons:

  • · "Best" depends entirely on what you're trying to do. Sei Wallet is the best Sei-only desktop wallet. It is not the best multi-chain wallet, the best mobile wallet, or the best browser extension.
  • · Crypto-wallet rankings get gamed. The wallet at the top of "Best X Wallet" lists is usually the one with the most affiliate marketing budget, not the most secure or most usable. We're not going to play that game while pretending we aren't.
  • · New wallets — including ours — should not claim "best" in their first six months. Trust is earned over time. Check back in 2027 with operational history visible.

Wallets we don't recommend

  • Compass Wallet — sunsetting May 28, 2026. Don't start using it now. If you already have funds in Compass, see /migrate-from-compass.
  • Leap Wallet — same: sunsetting May 28, 2026. See /migrate-from-leap.
  • Atomic Wallet, Math Wallet, Coin98 — these support Sei nominally but feature coverage and Sei-specific UX is shallow. We're not recommending them; we're not actively warning against them either.
